VOA Work is dedicated to providing employment support in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Clark and Floyd Counties in Indiana.
We offer support in job seeking / placement, training, continuing education courses, career counseling, mentoring, interview / resume preparation, financial assistance, follow-up, and wraparound services.
Dedicated to helping individuals find employment
Through our Work program VOA provides employment support to:
- Individuals impacted by recovery who want to return to the workforce.
- Unemployed and underemployed individuals who need employable skills, training, continuing education, and wraparound supportive services to maintain gainful employment.
- Individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities looking to find meaningful jobs in the community. VOA works with employers that match our participants’ skill sets and abilities.
- Veterans in our Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) needing support with career exploration, training, placement, and supportive services for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Workforce Reintegration services are provided in the following Kentucky counties:
Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Harlan, Jackson, Knox, Laurel, Leslie, Letcher, McCreary, Owsley, Perry, Powell, Whitley, and Wolfe.
Individuals with disabilities work services are provided in the following Indiana counties:

Veterans in our HVRP program services are provided in the following West Virginia county:

VOA Work programs are funded by Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC), Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization (POWER), and Inspire.
Recovery Reintegration Program (RRP) is 100% funded with Federal money through a $1,260,234 Department of Labor WORC grant.
RRP Lincoln, Pulaski and Rockcastle Counties are 80% funded through a $465,208 grant from Appalachian Regional Commission’s INSPIRE grant and 20% funded through the Kentucky Chamber Foundation/Kentucky Sports Radio Tornado Relief Fund.
Workforce Reintegration is 80% funded with Federal money though a $2 million Appalachian Regional Commission POWER grant and 20% funded ($500,000) through Kentucky’s G.R.A.N.T. program and local agency dollars
HVRP is 100% funded with Federal money through a $691,632 Department of Labor HVRP grant.
Supportive Employment is funded through Indiana’s Family and Social Services Administration Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services.
