Located in the Knoxville suburb of Powell, Volunteers of America’s Candleridge Plaza Senior Housing Community provides 100 quality, affordable housing units to extremely-low income individuals who are 62 years of age or older, including those who are mobility impaired and also 62 years of age or older. The Candleridge Plaza Service Coordination Program helps residents maintain their independence by networking residents with community resources such as transportation, housekeeping assistance, meal delivery, and legal advocacy.
Additional services include wellness and preventative health care opportunities, monitoring services, benefits access, and other services that promote continued self-sufficiency. All services are free and confidential. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
